SAS Event Management is committed to protecting the privacy of those using our site and the confidentiality of the personal information provided to us. Our principal activities are planning and organising events on behalf of third party clients.

Data Protection 1998

We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data.

Collection of Personal Data

Personal information is not collected other than information that is knowingly and voluntarily given. We do not use cookies for collecting user information from this site.

Anonymous information is collected, for example the number of visitors to the website in a given period. This information is purely statistical and cannot be used to identify an individual user.

Type of Data Collected

To register for a specific event, you are required to provide full contact details, as well as special / dietary requirements, so that we can arrange your attendance at that event and in some cases produce badges and a delegate list.

Use of Personal Data

The information you provide is owned by the third party client, who owns the event for which you have registered. This information will only be made available to SAS Event Management employees involved in the planning of the event and to the said third party client.

When you register for an event, your contact information will be used to make all necessary arrangements with you regarding your attendance at or participation in the event. This includes but is not limited to sending you event-specific information, providing tickets or passes, arranging payment of fees or organising special/ dietary requirements where appropriate, ensuring the accessibility of the venue, and sending you post-event materials.

In addition your name and company/organisation only may be included in the event delegate and/or dinner list, unless you inform us that you do not wish this to happen.

Your contact information may be used in future mailings by SAS Event Management on behalf of the said third party client in respect of their future events, unless you have indicated on the event booking form that you do not wish this to happen.

Storage of Personal Data

Appropriate measures are taken to safeguard personal data from unauthorised access or improper use. The database where contact details are stored is password-protected. All employees who have access to this personal data are obliged to respect its confidentiality.

We will not disclose your details to any third parties other than the owner of the event, without your prior consent. However, we cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt or breach of security that may lead to the data being compromised, or for any actions of any third parties who may receive the information as a result.

Please note that we reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate our systems properly and to protect both ourselves and our users.

Accuracy of Personal Data

We take every reasonable measure to ensure that the information we hold is accurate. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you and you may choose to have the data corrected or updated as appropriate. No charge is made for providing this information to you. Proof of identity will be required.
