Ginny Gibson
Henley Business School, Reading University
Ginny Gibson Ginny became the Deputy Dean of Henley Business School in 2010 having been head of Real Estate & Planning, one of the constituent groups within Henley, for the previous two years. She was actively involved in the merger between the University of Reading and Henley Management College to create Henley Business School, the largest full service, triple-accredited business school in Europe. Ginny also led the fit-out and move to a new £20 million Business School building on the Whiteknights campus.

Ginny's interests are at the nexus of management and real estate drawing, on her academic background in both fields. She is recognised as one of the leading academics in the field of corporate real estate, focusing on the way in which organisations align their property with their changing business environment. She joined the University of Reading in the mid-1980s and has worked on research with a range of organisations including BT, Barclays, Boots, MWB, and JCI. Drawing on this work, she developed an executive post-experience masters programme in corporate real estate to which she has contributed for the last 10 years.

Ginny also has a keen interest in teaching and learning in higher education. She was the Director of Teaching and Learning for the University's Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (2002-2008), during which time she led a strategic University-wide project funded by HEFCE linking quality enhancement and quality assurance processes. She was an auditor for the Quality Assurance Agency and has undertaken six institutional audits.

Externally, Ginny is involved with professional associations in the field, including CoreNet and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and has been a member of the editorial boards for the Journal of Corporate Real Estate and Property Management. She regularly speaks at conferences and has undertaken a variety of consultancy projects.
